What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is the process of helping you find the path between where you are and where you want to be. Successful coaching prompts creative, dynamic and thought provoking conversations. A coach can help you to clarify your goals, identify obstacles getting in your way and assist you in developing a plan or strategy for moving forward.

 

Coaching vs. Therapy

Although there may be some overlap in the benefits of working with a life coach and participating in therapy with a licensed therapist, these professionals have distinct roles and serve unique purposes. Therapists focus on treating mental health conditions (such as depression and anxiety), and helping people work through trauma and other issues from their past. A life coach is  focused on the present and supporting someone to reach their future goals.

A Good Fit

There can be tremendous benefits in working with a life coach (I work with a coach myself!). The partnership depends on trust and a good fit between coach and client.
